Come by this evening 6-9 and visit the Green Gallery in the Scrap Exchange. You can find more info here but for a bit of background:
The concept of a “book” is being scrambled now. Classic books have been digitized and accessible from the internet. Authors can write specifically for e-book publishing, bypassing traditional publishing methods altogether. Words are changing their spellings and their meanings faster than ever, and morphing into new iconic forms.
The definitions of the physical nature of the traditional book form is also changing. Books can be interactive, transformed into objects or dimensional story-telling vehicles, and a visual platform for metaphor, protest, and much more.My partner Karen has five pieces in the show (below). Nine other artists are also participating.
